Okay, so I've realized I've kind of set the tone for my blog a little, and I want to try something a little different. I've written a lot about the things that really matter, and... this might sound a little weird, but today...
I'm writing about nothing important really at all. :o)
So.... It's December! So exciting. I love love love Christmas!!! The whole aura of it all gives me the
jitters to just dance. This whole month is a wonderful time.
The music,
the lights... (oh, the lights!),
the cookies.... (mmmm),
the stories,
the snow (yes, yes, yes!)
Most people use this quote soooo sarcastically, but I don't really care: "what a time to be alive!" haha. Ah. I've decided to breathe it all in with a happy smile. There's really no reason I shouldn't take my time enjoying this season. It's so perfect.
Unfortunately all of the snow that was here just a few weeks ago decided to melt, but
that really can't spoil my mood either. I'm so completely happy about Christmas. Not
even the lack of the wonderful, frosty whiteness that usually coats the ground about this time of year could stop me from taking on the world with a smile! (at least my little part of the world, meaning pretty much just my own life, but whatever)
We picked out our Christmas tree yesterday and hopefully it will be up tomorrow when I get home from school. I can't wait for the house to smell like pine. I love the smell of pine (just not the candle scented kind- unless you have found a scent that is perfection compared to the smell of a real tree? please tell me about it!). But anyway, hmmm!
I guess I'm just writing to say what a glorious time Christmas really is. It's almost magical in a way (wow, that sounded really cliche, but I'm not deleting it). Anyway, this is my life. At least for today, so I'll enjoy it.
